Business Problem:
After winning a large contract to extend their distribution services into Somerset this customer came to Piran Tech to supply a remote office connectivity solution to allow their new second site access to mission critical data.
System uptime was essential as the distribution service included newspapers. Failure to deliver could result in losing the contract.
Resolution:
We provided extensive project management services and advice on the correct way to link and distribute critical data accross the two sites.
As part of the installation we installed a Secure Cisco connection for the Internet and a virtual private network between the two sites as well as two new Microsoft SQL Servers, data distribution services and a new Small Business Server.
Results:
- The solutionwas delivered well in advance of the "go live" date to ensure adequate time for testing data replication between the two Miscrosoft SQL servers
- Data and systems can be accessed securly from either site reducing the travel time and response to operational issues
