Network giant chooses Cornish partner to front national campaign
Global IT network giant Cisco Systems has selected its Cornish partner, Piran Technologies, to front a national campaign on working together to help local business.
The California-based multinational dispatched a film crew to Redruth, to interview Piran managing director Mark Wright, for an online video called “Accelerate your Business with Cisco”, explaining its new, partner-led strategy in the UK market.
The resulting footage, in which Mark appears opposite Cisco’s UK commercial director David Critchley, is being used on IT websites to attract new partners and publicise its national business solutions workshop.
Mark is also quoted in a Cisco banner advert, promoting the video and event.
He says: “Cisco really work hard to help us meet our customers’ needs.
“We have constant access to a whole team of experts, and when we make a request they genuinely listen and react – even altering their own organisation to give us the best results.
“That’s good news, because it gives Cornish companies the easiest possible access to industry standard networking, built-in data security, voip and all the other technologies their need to flourish and grow in a remote location like ours.”
Cisco territory business manager Andrew Willmott says the decision to use Piran Technologies as an example was relatively straightforward.
“Wherever you are in the world, Cisco premier partners are acknowledged as the best in the industry,” he explains.
“When you look at the IT landscape in Cornwall, Piran Tech really exemplify the qualities we look for. They’re practical, innovative, and really know how to help customers make the post of our technology for their own business.
“Piran are a great example of what can be achieved, and if this video helps Cisco to attract more partners like them in other parts of the UK, we’ll be very happy indeed.”
